Logo Description

This logo represents an athlete aspiring for excellence. The wave represents the action you will be part of at the Championships, the Petitcodiac River with its tidal bore, as well as the Atlantic Ocean that forms part of our geographic region. The maple leaf symbolizes Canada, host country for the Championships. The star is both a nod to the star on the Acadian flag and to the rising stars of athletics. The palette of colours represents the standards of Canada, New Brunswick, the City of Moncton, Acadie, the Université de Moncton (site of the competition and one of the athletes’ villages) and Mount Allison University (the other athletes’ village).
