The campus will be closed to cars, but anyone planning to attend any of the upcoming IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships will have several options to get to the new Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium located on the Université de Moncton Campus.
The Moncton 2010 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championship games begin in just six days, next Monday, July 19 and the city will be hosting the world.
Moncton's new $23.5-million track and field stadium was built to foster an athletics legacy in Atlantic Canada, says the chief operating officer of the 2010 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships.
Officially, everything is right on track for the International Amateur Athletic Federation world junior track and field championships, which begin July 19 in Moncton.
With an expected 1,500 athletes from as many as 170 IAAF member federations expected, there will literally be people from almost everywhere on Earth rooting for someone in Moncton in a week's time.
