Spectators
Spectators at the IAAF World Junior Championships will be able to see some of the world’s very best junior athletes in action. Many of these athletes will compete again at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Over the course of the week from July 19th-25th, 50,000 spectators are expected to fill the seats at the new Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium on the Université de Moncton campus. Millions more from coast to coast and around the world will watch the event on TV and through the CBC’s live webcast.
Visitors to the region will be able to explore all of Moncton’s exciting attractions including its vibrant downtown core, extensive shopping opportunities and great dining. Within a short drive from the city, visitors can also take advantage of New Brunswick’s fabulous beaches and national parks. A downtown festival will add to the energetic and fun atmosphere surrounding the entire event.
